Who are we

RIB Shack Marine is a family-run business based in the Southampton and Solent area. For over two decades, we’ve offered luxury boating lifestyle solutions. Our shared boat ownership scheme provides real, unrestricted ownership that’s cost-effective and accessible to all. We guide you in selecting the perfect boat from our unique, desirable fleet fitting seamlessly into your lifestyle. It’s our goal to help you create unforgettable memories while ensuring a stress-free experience, with sales proceeds returned to you at the end.

We help people choose the boat that is right for them and fits in with their lifestyle, enabling them to make unforgettable memories with friends and family, and enjoy much needed time to relax and de-stress.

How it started

We understand that many people desire to have their own boat but just don’t have the time to use it as often as they would like.

We started RIB Shack Marine from the personal experience of purchasing a boat ourselves. Using it as often as we wanted to quickly became a real challenge. So, creating a way to balance real boat ownership without having the time to make full use of it became our passion. From here, we built our scheme of allowing you to purchase a 25% share in a quality boat, guaranteeing at least 13 weeks of use every year.

Our fleet is carefully chosen, bringing you stunning, high-quality boats to suit your luxury boating lifestyle.

We have a selection of highly spec’d Axopar Cabins and Ribeye RIB’s that will suit everyone’s requirements, whether you are looking for high action watersports, family days out, or just want a place to relax in the sun. The Axopar cabins offer the ability to sleep on board, so overnight stays during your week are also possible.

This is our third RIB Shack boat . Over the last 9 years Colin, Helen and the team have provided such an efficient and friendly service. The shared boat concept is a convenient and cost effective way of owning a Rib and getting onto the water. We love spending time on the water with friends and family exploring the Solent and having picnics or lunches

Shared boat ownership through RIB Shack is a brilliant concept - marinas are full of unused boats, which is both financially and environmentally inefficient. The team takes care of all the hassles of boat ownership, from insurance and servicing through to cleaning and incidental repairs, and will deliver the boat wherever you want it on the Solent. We are enjoying the amazing Axopar 37 for a similar ownership cost to a boat half the size!
